I made a ham and cheese and a spinach and feta. In medium bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in shortening, using pastry blender , until particles are dimension of small peas. Sprinkle with cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, tossing with fork till all flour is moistened and pastry virtually cleans side of bowl . This quiche was excellent!
I baked this in a deep dish plate, however you can also use an 8×8 glass baking dish as properly. For cooking, I discover that this dish is finest made the day of serving.
